Instructions
Using an SD Card
Open the SD card hatch on the front of the Wii console and insert the SD card. If you are using a MicroSD or MiniSD card, put the card into the included adapter before inserting it into the Wii.
Power on the Wii console.
Check that you have the latest version. Open the Options menu and choose the "System Update" option, allowing your Wii to update itself from the internet. When updated, the system will reload the Wii menu.
Download a game from the Wii Shop Channel, or move a game onto the SD card using the Data Management system. See section 2 for more information.
Open the SD Card menu by clicking the "SD card icon" on the bottom-left corner of the screen. Choose the game you wish to play off the SD card and wait for the game to load.
Managing SD Cards
Power on the console and open the Wii options menu.
Select "Data Management" from the two options then choose "Wii."
Choose either "Channels" or "Save Data" depending on which type of file you wish to copy. Scroll through the list of available then select the one you are looking for--if you are moving from the SD card onto the Wii memory, make sure you have selected the "SD Card" tab first.
Click the file you wish to copy and when prompted, choose "Copy."
Wait for the file to finish copying to its destination. If you would like to save some space, delete it from the original location once you have copied it to the SD card.
