How to Invite Miis to Play on the Wii

The Wii is made up of several different channels that allow gamers to participate in activities without needing to insert a game into the console. The Mii Channel, for example, encourages players to create digital versions of themselves and their friends and family. These characters, known as Miis, can then be shared, put on display or used in different Wii titles. If you wish to add Miis from other players, you can use the Mii Parade to pick your favorite character and add him onto your console.

Instructions

  Power on your Wii console. From the main menu, highlight the "Wii" icon in the lower-right corner and press "A." Select "Wii Settings" from the next menu, then select "WiiConnect24" and switch the option to "On." Select "Back" to return to the main menu.

  Select "Mii Channel" with your Wii remote and press "A." Highlight "Start" and press "A" again.

  Highlight "Mii Parade" in the upper-right corner of the screen. You'll be taken to an area where Miis from other Wii consoles can gather. Highlight the "Travel Settings" icon on the right with your Wii remote and press "A."

  Select "Travel" from the pop-up menu. This will allow other Miis to visit your Wii and march in the Mii Parade. Press "A" to return to the Mii Parade area.

  Watch the Miis that walk down the screen. When you see a Mii you wish to invite onto your Wii, highlight him and press "A" and "B" at the same time to grab onto him. Continue to hold both buttons and drag the Mii to the left of the screen and the icon that reads "Send to Mii Plaza." Select "Yes" to confirm.

  View your new Miis in the Mii Plaza by pressing the circular arrow on the top right of the Mii Parade screen.

  Look for your new Mii resident to appear in games such as Wii Sports and Wii Fit. The Mii will also be available to play in games where Miis are featured as characters.
