How to Catch a Mole Cricket in Animal Crossing for Wii

Some of the best things to do in Animal Crossing City Folk for the Nintendo Wii are in town. Collecting fish, butterflies and bugs to be sold or donated to your town's museum is a great way to pass time in the game. Mole crickets live underground and can be heard when you are walking around town.

Instructions

Listen for mole crickets as you walk around town. Keep the shovel in your hand as you walk. You can put the shovel in your character's hand by going into your pockets, clicking on the item and then selecting "Carry." You can also carry your shovel by pressing down on the control pad on the Wii remote.

Start digging around you when you hear the mole cricket. Keep digging where you hear the cricket humming. Once you dig up the mole cricket, it will walk around on the ground and quickly try to get away.

Switch from your shovel to your net by pressing the down direction on the control pad of the Wii remote.

Chase the mole cricket, pressing the "A" button to put down your net. When your character has caught the mole cricket, your character will automatically dig it out of the net and declare that you have caught a mole cricket.
