How to Fix the Whammy Bar on a Wii 'Guitar Hero'

Although "Guitar Hero" is a worldwide sensation, the guitar durability can leave us all with something to be desired. Do not fret, however--there are quick and easy solutions to repair a faulty whammy bar so you can get back to the rock 'n' roll lifestyle in no time.

  • Rubber band

Instructions

  1. Disassemble Guitar

    • 1

      Unscrew all the screws in the guitar controller. Remove the back of the guitar and set it to the side in a safe place where it will not be harmed.

      Pull up the black chord from its given slot. Wrap the rubber band underneath the white plastic piece closest to the cord in the guitar. Wrap the band around the small screw casings until it is firm and secure but pliable. Replace the black chord to its original placement.

      Retrieve the back of the guitar, which was previously set aside. Place it back on the guitar controller. Screw in all the screws that had been previously removed. Test the whammy bar for movement.

      Attach the controller to the Wii game console. Turn the power on. Insert the "Guitar Hero" game and test the controller.
