Access a copy of ̶0;Zelda: Twilight Princess.̶1; You can rent, purchase, or borrow the game from a friend.
Use an SD card to download the ̶0;Twilight Hack̶1; saved game files. This allows you to run the ̶0;Twilight Hack̶1; and download the ̶0;Homebrew Channel.̶1; Follow the specific directions on the official website to complete the hack and install the ̶0;Homebrew Channel̶1; (see Resources below.)
Restart the Wii after completing the ̶0;Twilight Hack̶1; and load the ̶0;Homebrew Channel̶1;. Scroll through the channel until you find the ̶0;Homebrew Browser̶1;. Press ̶0;A̶1; on the Wii remote twice to update and load the ̶0;Homebrew Browser̶1;.
Point the Wii remote towards the ̶0;Utilities̶1; section of the ̶0;Homebrew Browser̶1; and press ̶0;A̶1; on the remote. Use the arrow keys on the remote to scroll down and select the ̶0;Update Downloader̶1;. Point at and download this application.
Exit the ̶0;Homebrew Browser̶1; by using the ̶0;Home̶1; button on the Wii remote and select the ̶0;Homebrew Channel̶1; again. Scroll through and select the ̶0;Update Downloader̶1;.
Press ̶0;A̶1; when the program launches to accept the terms and proceed with the downgrade. Use the arrow keys on the controller to scroll through and select a previous Wii System. Choosing one too far away may cause you to lose data, so do not downgrade too far.
Press ̶0;A̶1; when you have selected the system version you want. Press ̶0;A̶1; again to confirm the selection and watch the progress bar as the new system is being downloaded. The Wii will automatically restart when the downgrade has completed.
