Instructions
Place the Wii remote in the top of the Wii Zapper. The remote lies horizontally, and the "B" trigger button lies down and lines up with the larger trigger on the bottom. Listen for a slight snapping sound to make sure the remote is secure.
Place the nunchuk controller into the back section of the Wii zapper. Swing the nunchuk cord to the right side of the Zapper and feed it through the shaft of the Zapper.
Connect the nunchuk cord by swinging around and plugging it into the back of the Wii remote. Tuck any extra slack into the Zapper's compartment so it is not in your way while using the Zapper.
Power on the Nintendo Wii and load a Zapper-compatible game. Use the Wii remote as normal to select options from the Wii Channel menu.
Hold the zapper with two hands. Use your dominant hand to hold the back nunchuk section of the zapper and the nondominant hand to hold the front section and the trigger area. If this feels uncomfortable, switch hands to see which fits best . It may take a couple of minutes to get used the Zapper's grip.
Move the character around on the screen using the analog stick on the nunchuk. In some games, the nunchuk may not be used and characters will move on their own.
Pull to the trigger to shoot bullets, arrows or other weapons within the game. Aim the Zapper toward the targeted object as you would point a real gun. Stay at least five feet away from the television to keep the remote readings accurate.
Use the "Z" button on the nunchuk to zoom in closer on objects. This button can create more-accurate shots and is good for head shots, target practice and hostage situations in games such as "Call of Duty."
Check the batteries in the Wii remote if targets become jittery or the Zapper becomes unresponsive. Press the "Home" button on the Wii remote to see battery levels.
