Adventure Island
A side scrolling, tropical themed, platform game, Adventure Island follows Master Higgins on his adventures to save his love, Tina. Mainly a timing game, the play consists of jumping at the appropriate times to avoid obstacles and throwing stone axes at enemies, all while gathering fruit and other items that keep you going. Each of the eight stages ends with a battle with the evil Witch Doctor that kidnapped Tina.
A Boy and His Blob
A Boy and His Blob follows the story of an alien blob creature and the boy he befriends. Playing as both characters, you will find jelly beans of various flavors, each one transforming the blob into a useful new shape. Using these shapes, you will solve puzzles and overcome all types of obstacles in a quest to save the blob's home planet.
Bases Loaded
In Bases Loaded, you can choose from twelve possible teams before picking your lineup from thirty available players. After that, it's an arcade style baseball game with multiple angles of view and the ability to choose the type of pitch you throw. Home runs can be hit and batters can charge the mound in each game.
Final Fantasy
This is the first in the popular Final Fantasy role playing games series that is still going strong today. You can check out the roots of that series with this Nintendo game, which focuses on you and your party of companions as you fulfill a prophecy that brings light back to a dying world.
Excitebike
In Excitebike, you race a dirtbike in the professional circuit. You have to outrun your opponents as you jump ramps, mounds of dirt, and avoid a rough landing that will make you crash. Other players can also crash into you and add a layer of strategy to the racing. The other interesting feature of the game is a Design mode that lets you create your own race track with all the jumps and straightaways you want.
