How to Connect the Guitar Hero Mic to the Wii

The Guitar Hero microphone is one of the few peripherals on the Nintendo Wii to actually use the USB ports on the back of the system. Unlike the guitars or drums, the microphone does not require a Wii remote or batteries to function properly. However, you still need to use a Wii remote or other controlling device to navigate the machine.

     Turn the Wii off. The "Power" button is located on the bottom left of the console.

     Connect the microphone to either of the USB ports on the back of the Wii.

     Turn the Wii back on.

     Use a Wii remote or Guitar to navigate the Wii and Guitar Hero menus.
