How to Connect Multiple Wii Remotes Via Bluetooth

The Nintendo Wii is a video-game console that uses unique controllers known as Wiimotes, or Wii Remotes. The remotes are equipped with an infrared port and an accelerometer. At the core of the Wii remote is Bluetooth technology, the same short-range networking technology that works with phones, PDAs, GPS devices and laptops.

Things You'll Need

2 "AA" batteries, one per Wii Remote

Instructions

  Open the battery cover of the Wii remote and place the AA batteries inside. Be sure the "-" end of the battery is placed on the spring in each battery slot.

  Turn on the Nintendo Wii. Open up the front cover where the SD cards go.

  Press the red button in the area you just opened up to activate the Wii's search mode for remotes.

  Press the red "Sync" button next to the batteries on the Wii remote to establish a connection between the Wii and the Wii remote. When the link is established, the LEDs on the remote will stop flashing. Close the battery cover.

  Repeat steps 1 to 4 for each Wii remote you want to connect.
