While playing on level 1-1, you will notice that there is a staircase that has koopas coming down. To use this level up hint stand on any of the steps on the staircase. As a koopa comes to the step located above you, time your jump so you land directly on him when he comes to your step. You will continue to bounce up and down as a turtle shell moves back and forth. Your experience points for leveling up will quickly begin to multiply, but you can only bounce on him 11 times. If you bounce on the koopa more than 11 times then 1,000 experience points will be deducted from your score for each bounce.
