Things You'll Need
Instructions
Test your Wii's broadband Internet connection by using the WiiMote to click on the round Wii options button on the main menu (bottom-left). Click the wrench then scroll to the Internet slot.
Update your Wii console to the newest main menu by clicking on the round Wii Options button from the main menu. Click on the wrench then scroll to the Wii System Update slot on the last page of available choices. A depiction of an SD card now appears between the round Wii Options button and the date.
Pop an SD or SDHC card into the SD slot on the front of the Wii console and push it in until it clicks. The SD slot is next to the game disc slot.
Click on the SD icon to access the SD "channel," which is actually a menu. A grid of blank rectangles similar to what you might find on the main menu appears.
Download games from the Wii Shop Channel and choose the option to download to SD memory.
Go back to the main menu, then click on the SD icon to read the content you just loaded. Each downloaded item will "live" in one of the grid rectangles, just like on the main menu.
