Verify that your wireless router connected to your high-speed Internet modem is active. You will see multiple status lights on the router; this indicates that the Internet is accessible wirelessly.
Turn on the television and the Wii. On the main Wii menu screen click on the Wii button. The button is located in the lower left hand side of the screen and is a circular image.
Click on "Wii Settings" which is on the right hand side of the next screen. You will see a list of options as well as a left and right arrow. Click on the right arrow to get to page two of the settings options.
Select the option that says "Internet." On the next screen select "Connection Settings." If "Connection one" is listed next to the words "Wireless Connection" click on that one. If not select "Connection three."
Select "Wireless Connection" followed by "Search for an access point." The Wii will begin scanning for your wireless Internet connection. It may list multiple access points such as those belonging to nearby business or neighbors.
Select your wireless network from the list that appears. The one you select should match the name of your wireless network and will have the strongest signal indicated next to it.
Enter your password if prompted to do so. If your wireless network has a password you will need to enter that password. This is the same password you use when you connect a laptop to your Internet connection using Wi-Fi.
