How To Calibrate Wii Balance Board for Rayman's Rabid Rabbits

The Raving Rabbids characters, lovable yet insane rabbit-like creatures introduced into the Rayman universe when the Wii launched, now have their own game--TV Party--and a quirky new set of mini-games for the balance board. The Wii Balance Board is a very powerful and intelligent piece of technology that takes weight information and applies it to the game at hand after calibrating itself correctly.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

  1. Set Up

    • 1

Place the Balance Board on the floor between 3 and 10 feet from the TV screen. Press the button on the front to turn the board on.

    • 2

Insert the Raving Rabbids game disc into the Nintendo Wii and start the game.

    • 3

Select one of the Balance Board-enabled mini-games from the menu.

    • 4

Wait for the balance board to zero out its sensors. Do not step on the Balance Board until the game prompts you to do so. Doing so may throw the board's self-calibration off.

    • 5

When prompted, stand or sit on the board (depending on the mini-game directions). The board will calibrate itself according to your weight and its requirements.

    Troubleshooting

    • 6

Confirm that you are performing the actions for the game correctly if the board is not functioning correctly. Review the manual or on-screen instructions.

    • 7

Check that you have placed the board on the floor correctly. The Balance Board needs to be on a flat, even floor. If you are using the board on the carpet, attach the Balance Board foot extensions to all four feet.

    • 8

Check the battery level of the Balance Board. Press the Home button on your Wii remote, and check the battery level of the device in the fourth position. A red battery indicates that the batteries are low and will need changing soon.

    • 9

Confirm that there are no people or other obstructions between you and the sensor bar.

    • 10

Test whether or not other devices are affecting the signal between the console and the device. Try turning off microwave ovens, cordless telephones and wireless LAN routers one at a time until eliminating one of them clears up the interference.
