Turn your Wii off and disconnect the cables from the console for safety.
Turn your Wii console over and remove the Phillips screw from the battery tray. Pull the battery tray out and remove the rubber screw cover. Afterward, remove the three white square covers.
Remove the tri-wing screws. The screw behind the battery tray is a tri-wing screw, as is the one behind the rubber screw cover.
Remove the three Phillips screws. The three white square covers you removed have small Phillips screws behind them.
Position the Wii vertically, and then remove the four rubber covers. Remove the four tri-wing screws from behind the covers.
Open the Wii's access panel. The access panel consists of two small covers; they flip down with ease. Remove the three Phillips screws.
Remove the black cover the behind the access panel. Remove the two tri-wing screws and two Phillips screws.
Pull off the front of the Wii. Unhook the electrical plug attaching the front circuit board to the system.
Position the Wii on its side. Secure the bottom and simultaneously pull up the cover to remove it. Remove the four Phillips screws mounting your disc drive. Flip the disc drive up and unhook the two electrical connections.
