How to Get the Moving Van on Animal Crossing

The Moving Van is how game data for Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS can be transferred to Animal Crossing: City Folk on the Nintendo Wii. This way, if you have been building up a game in Animal Crossing: Wild World, you can transfer your character and catalog onto Animal Crossing: City Folk and keep your character growing.

Copy of Animal Crossing: City Folk
Nintendo DS or DSi
Copy of Animal Crossing: Wide World

Instructions

  Power up the Nintendo Wii and insert the disc for Animal Crossing: City Folk. You will be taken to the Animal Crossing: City Folk intro screen. Start a new game and select "Move from the DS!"

  With the Nintendo DS or DSi turned off, insert the cartridge for Animal Crossing: Wild World. Turn the handheld on. Instead of starting a game of Animal Crossing: Wild World, select "DS Download Play" at the bottom of the screen. Select the Moving Van panel.

  On the Nintendo Wii, you will be asked to register your character. Select "Yep!" and you will be given the option to move your character and their catalog. Wait until this process has been completed before you turn either machine off.
