Connect Every Time
Sometimes, when you jab and swing with the Nunchuk and Wii remote, the game will appear to not respond. The trick to making sure your onscreen character reacts and your punches connect every time is patience.
Swing only one punch at a time. Wait until one punch connects, then immediately follow up with a punch from the other hand. If that connects, punch again with the first hand. Continue to alternate hands until your punch is blocked.
If you punch too quickly or with both hands simultaneously, the punches will cancel each other out, leaving you open for an attack. Imagine that you are actually punching, and string stronger, slower punches together.
Keep 'Em Down for the Count
After you have knocked your opponent down and the referee begins counting, dance back and forth by shifting your remote and Nunchuk from side to side and punch the air. This will decrease the likelihood that your opponent will get back up and continue fighting. This tactic becomes less effective, however, the more skill points your opponent has.
Be the Pro
To reach Pro status, accumulate 1,000 skill points. Do this by fighting against computer opponents in one-player mode. You cannot gain skill points by fighting human players.
To gloat about being the champ after winning a fight, hold the remote and Nunchuk above your head, and your onscreen character will put his arms in the air in a victory stance.
Silver Boxing Gloves
To obtain the silver boxing gloves, accumulate 1,500 skill points and fight the champion, Matt. Once you defeat him, you will have the silver gloves at your disposal. You have to put the gloves on before each match. Press and hold the "1" button when the screen turns black before a match begins to don the silver gloves.
