How to Unlock Bowser Jr. on Mario Kart Wii

"Mario Kart Wii" is one of the most popular games for the Nintendo Wii console. Gameplay in "Mario Kart" consists of racing in go karts and on motor bikes with classic Nintendo characters such as Mario, Luigi and Donkey Kong. There are many unlockable characters in "Mario Kart Wii." Unlocking Bowser Jr. requires getting a rating of at least one star on all of the retro tracks using 100cc sized engines.

Instructions

  Start up "Mario Kart Wii," select single player Grand Prix mode and select 100cc. By default, you can only use motor bikes in the 100cc mode.

  Pick your favorite character and motor bike for racing. Bikes that have high speed and inside drift, such as the bullet bike, flame runner and mach bike, tend to be preferred by expert racers.

  Select the Shell Cup, the first retro GP cup. The retro GP cups are listed on the bottom of the two rows of cups available and consist of tracks that were seen in previous "Mario Kart" games.

  Earn one star or better in the Shell Cup. Play through the four tracks of the Shell Cup, avoiding getting hit by any items or going off the track. You should try to finish each race in first place. It is possible to get a one-star rating without getting first for each race, but it helps to get first every time. You may have to retry the races several times to earn a one-star rating.

  Earn a one-star rating for each of the other three retro cups: the Banana Cup, the Leaf Cup and the Lightning Cup. Each successive cup will be unlocked after placing third or higher in the previous cup. After earning the final one-star rating, Bowser Jr. will be unlocked.
