How to Add Wii to Wireless Network

The Nintendo Wii is a gaming console that allows friends and family to enjoy a variety of electronic games. Connecting the Nintendo Wii to a wireless network will give you an opportunity to play online games, browse the Internet, send messages, download and purchase games, interact with friends and other gamers around the globe. Nintendo Wii can easily be connected to your wireless router and network if you have the SSID and password.

      Make sure your wireless network is running correctly. You can test this by going on the Internet on your computer.

      Turn on your Wii console. The power button is located on the front of the console. The main menu will appear once the console is turned on. Press any button on your remote to sync with the console.

      Use your remote to select "Wii Options." On the screen, a hand will hover over any selection you would like. Press the "A" button for your selection.

      Select "Wii Settings," "Internet," and finally "Connection Settings." Choose the "Wireless" connection on the "Connection" screen.

      Choose the "Search for an Access Point" to search for a wireless network in range. Choose your desired network and then select "Manual Setup." You will be prompted to enter a "SSID" (network name), choose the security type "WEP" or "WPA" (only select if you have a security key). Enter your security key and then choose "Save." The Wii will automatically connect.
