How to Download Mike Tyson's Punch Out

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. It can now be downloaded and played on the Nintendo Wii using the Virtual Console. The re-released version is titled "Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream," due to the expiration of Nintendo's license with Mike Tyson. The game is identical to the original game, except for Mike Tyson being replaced with a fictional boxer. "Punch-Out!!" costs 500 Wii Points to download.

Instructions

  Choose the Wii Shop channel from the Wii menu.

  Select the option to "Add Wii Points" from the shop menu if you have less than 500 available.

  Add 500 Wii Points by purchasing them directly from Nintendo with a credit card or following the instructions on a Wii Points card. Wii Points cards can be purchased from video game retailers.

  Select the "Virtual Console" menu to bring up the downloadable games list.

  Select "Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream" from the games list.

  Choose to download the game and confirm that you want to spend 500 Wii Points. The game will then download to your Wii.

  Go back to the main Wii menu. You can now play "Punch-Out!!" by selecting the new channel added to the menu.
