Repetitive Motion Injury
A few minutes are never enough. Wii players often play for hours on end, resulting in repetitive motion injuries such as tendinitis, bursitis, tennis elbow, trigger finger, gamer's thumb and an overall ache from overuse of muscles.
Blunt Force Trauma
Many Wii players have experienced blunt force trauma from their co-player's fist or foot and intermittent flying Wii remote when playing, including black eyes, scattered split lips and missing teeth with the occasional knockout.
Traumatic Injuries
Twists, sprains, torn muscles, dislocated knees, wrists and ankles, torn rotator cuffs, and a multitude of back injuries are as a result of sudden jerky motion required by many Wii games.
Mental Injury
Immersive, realistic violent play in some Wii games have some people claiming to have post traumatic stress syndrome, while others say they have lost their loved ones to Wii addictions.
Warning
The Wii gaming system warns players to use the wrist strap, play cautiously, with adequate room and to take breaks. Still, failing to heed these words of advice, many Wii gamers are injured.
