Retail Stores
The easiest place to find used Wii consoles is a retail store. Specialty shops like GameStop and Game Crazy sell used consoles at a substantial discount, and also offer extended warranties for the used product should it be found to be defective. There are several other advantages to purchasing a used Wii at a retail store, including 10 to 15 percent discounts and used software bundles.
eBay
eBay is an online auction site where you can buy pretty much anything, including used Wiis. If you want to try to purchase a Nintendo Wii from eBay, you will probably find it at a much better price than in a retail store. However, be aware that eBay has a very loose guarantee system, and if the system you purchase is faulty in any way, you may not be able to get a refund if the original seller is not willing to work with you. If you are looking for a used Wii on eBay, make sure to do your research beforehand. Check the seller's rating and ask about the return policy before placing a bid.
Craigslist
Craigslist is a very popular online classified site. This is probably the riskiest place to buy a used Wii, as Craigslist expressly does not guarantee anything on its site. However, if you are looking to purchase from someone local, you may contact them and see if you can "test drive" the used Wii before purchasing. Make sure to test all the cables, remotes and disc-based functions before concluding the test. Although you may see some really great deals on Craigslist, it is very important to exercise caution when using this resource.
