Wii Power Saves FAQ

Nintendo Wii Power Saves is a bundle from CodeJunkies.com, which features a 512-MB SD card filled with Power Saves--game saves that activate cheat codes, unlock all features or modify your character. The bundle also comes with a MAX Media Manager PRO PC application, which allows you to transfer files to your SD card.
  1. Benefits

    • Power Saves are a convenient way for gamers who have less time to spend struggling with difficult games. As well as with difficult games, players might enjoy playing their favorite Nintendo Wii games with a different spin to freshen the experience. The MAX Media Manager PRO PC application also allows Wii owners to transfer audio, image and video files between their PC and Wii via the 512-MB Power Saves SD card.

Cost and Where You'll Find Power Saves

    • The Power Saves bundle can be purchased at major websites, such as CodeJunkies.com, Amazon.com and Gamestop.com, starting at prices as low as $15. Separate Power Saves themselves can be found at CodeJunkies.com. You can also upload your own Power Saves to the CodeJunkies.com database using the MAX Media Manager PRO PC application, which comes in the bundle.

    What You Will Need

    • To utilize the Wii Power Saves software, you will need the proper hardware. Obviously, you will need a fully functioning Nintendo Wii with at least 100 MB of empty memory space on it. You will also need a PC with an SD card slot, which runs on the Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows Vista operating systems. If your computer does not have an SD card slot, you can purchase a separate SD card reader that plugs into the USB port.

Uploading Power Saves to Your Wii

    • To upload Power Saves to your Wii, you will have to download them to your SD card. Open the Media Manager application disc on your computer, and click the button at the top right of the window labeled "Saves Web." Clicking this button should open up a page with an alphabetized list. This list is of the CodeJunkies.com Power Saves available for download. Browse through this list and find your game.

Now that you have located your game, you will have to click on it to display a description of the Power Save. At the bottom of the window, you will see two boxes. One has a "To PC" label while the second one reads "To SD." Choose "To PC" and click "Download." Once the download completes, press "Saves PC" at the top of the window. You should see the downloaded Power Save in your library, now. Click on the Power Save and click the "To SD" button.

Now remove the SD card from your computer, and insert it into your Wii. Make sure the proper game is inserted, and go to Wii Options on the Main Menu. Once there, go to Data Management > Save Data > Wii. Select the SD Card tab. Select the data for the Power Save and copy it onto your Wii system. Now you can return to the menu, start the game and load Power Save.

    Removing Power Saves

    • To remove your Wii Power Saves, go into Wii Options in the Main Menu and select Data Management > Save Data > Wii. Once you have navigated to this screen, you will see the saved data on your Nintendo Wii. Locate the uploaded Power Save and select it. Once you have it selected, choose "Delete." The Power Save will no longer be on your Wii.
