Instructions

Establish a network using any router. The speed and brand isn't important, although N-Band Linksys routers are ideal for use with the gaming adapter. To connect a router, plug it in as a bridge between your Internet source and computer, then install the drivers onto your computer.

Plug a Nintendo Wii LAN adapter into one of the Wii's USB ports. The LAN adapter is required to connect the Wii to a wired Internet source.

    • 3

Connect the Linksys gaming adapter to the Wii LAN adapter using an Ethernet cable. No drivers or other installation is required.

    • 4

Connect the Wii console to an online network in the system settings to play online. On the system start-up menu, navigate to the "Wii Menu" and select "Settings." Choose "Internet Connection" and connect to the Linksys gaming adapter.

Play with other consoles in the same house by connecting a gaming adapter to each one. The consoles will now be able to communicate with each other in games that support a LAN connection.
