How Do You Use the Wii Zapper?
The Wii Zapper is a plastic control that you slide a Wii remote and Wii Nunchuk into. The Zapper is shaped like a machine gun. There is a stock in the front with a trigger for your index (trigger) finger to push when you want to shoot. You keep your other hand on the back of the Zapper to maneuver your character around the video game with your thumb on the Nunchuk's joystick.
How the Zapper Can Help
Thanks to its motion detection bar, the Nintendo Wii has life-movement. With a regular Wii remote, though, those motions can be misinterpreted or hard to pull off in some games. The Zapper helps the player hold a steady trigger finger, increases shooting accuracy and helps players progress through first-person shooters and role-playing video games. Some first-person shooters, like Resident Evil 4, could benefit from the Zapper.
Games for the Zapper
Some of the games available are: Link's Crossbow Training (comes with purchase of the Zapper); Medal of Honor: Heroes 2; Wii Play; Call of Duty: World at War; Call of Duty: 3; 007: Quantum of Solace; Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles; Ghost Squad and Elebits.
