Air Horn
The air horn feature can be used when playing in multiplayer mode to distract your opponent. When your opponent is about to take a shot, press the "A" and "B" buttons on your Wii remote at the same time. An air horn will sound, and it may break your opponent's concentration.
Swinging Modes
The ability to control each shot as if you were really swinging a golf club is what sets the Wii apart from other consoles when playing "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08." There are three swinging modes in the game. In classic full swing mode, you press the "A" button on your Wii remote and swing fully back and through with the shot. The distance is determined by the amount of momentum you bring to your shot. Sitting swing mode involved slightly moving the Wii remote to perform a swing. This mode is particularly helpful when chipping a shot onto the green or getting your ball out of a sand trap. The classic mode for allows players to control the movements of the ball using the analog stick on the Nunchuk attachment. Classic mode is a bit tricky at first, but is useful to keep your ball moving in the direction of the hole when you're putting.
Shot Confidence
A new addition to "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08" is the Shot Confidence feature. This system tracks the problems your golfer experiences while playing. For example, if your player has trouble with a clutch shot, the Wii remote will rumble and you'll hear a heartbeat while performing the shot.
To make sure your golfer's confidence issues don't affect you during a tour mode or multiplayer game, use the character in practice mode. Correct your swings until you no longer have the unwelcome side effects when performing a shot. When you've overcome these issues, the golfer's confidence should be at all all-time high. You can view the player's confidence level at any time by pressing the "Start" button and selecting the "Stats" option.
