Instructions

    • 1

Turn on the Wii. Make sure it is connected to the internet.

    • 2

Choose "Wii Options," then "Wii Settings" from the main menu.

    • 3

Click the right arrow once to see the "Internet" option. Click "Internet," then choose "Console Settings."

    • 4

Locate the "MAC address" from this menu. Write the address down, since you will use it to identify the IP address from your router.

    • 5

Using your PC's web browser, go to the settings page for your wireless router. To do this, enter the router's IP address. If you do not know the router's IP address, go to the next step. If you do know it, skip to Step 7.

To find your router's IP address, do the following: Click the "Start" button in your computer's menu bar, click "Run," type "cmd" into the box that appears, then type "IPCONFIG/ALL" in the screen that appears. Your router's IP address will be listed as the "DCHP server." Simply type the numbers (it will look like xxx.xxx.x.x) into a web browser to access your router's settings.

Find the list of connections in the router's settings page. If they are listed by MAC address, use the Wii address. You also should see an IP address associated with this MAC address. That IP address belongs to the Wii.
