Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the batteries and rubber protective sleeve from the Wii remote. Removing the batteries is essential, as the screws that hold the remote together are inside the battery casing.
Remove the four tri-wing screws located in the battery housing. Keep these in a safe place, as they are small and easy to lose.
Pull the faceplate off the back of the Wii remote. This can require some force, but take care not to pull too quickly, as parts of the internal mechanisms can come loose.
Place the new faceplate on the back of the remote and replace the screws. Replace the batteries and close the remote.
Test the remote to make sure all of the buttons work correctly. If any of the buttons happens to stick under the faceplate, repeat these steps until the faceplate fits correctly.
