How to Fix a Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii is a revolutionary game console that allows for full-user interactivity in games. Occasionally, your Nintendo Wii may have a few bugs that need to be worked out. As with any piece of electronic equipment, there are many parts and pieces that you may have trouble with. Luckily, with the Nintendo Wii, most problems have an error code associated with them. Using these error codes, you can figure out what is wrong with and fix a Nintendo Wii.

  Check the screen when the error occurs. If you receive Error Code 110210, 110211, 110212 or 110213, you have a problem with your hardware. Your Wii will need to be serviced by a professional. Send it into the Nintendo service center or have it checked out by a local professional.

  Check the screen when the error occurs. If you receive Error Code 32002 or 52030, you have a problem with your router. You should change switch the router channel from 1 or 11 instead. If this doesn't remove the error code, try simply disabling your router's security.

  Check the screen when the error occurs. If you receive Error Code 220602, your Wii hardware is too far away from your router. Move the Wii so that it is closer to remedy the problem.

  Check the screen when the error occurs. If you receive a general Disc Read Error message, you've probably dropped or otherwise jolted the console. Unplug your Wii console and leave for at least thirty minutes. Turn it on. If you still have problems reading discs, then it should go to a service center.

  Try your Wii remote. If your Wii is not recognizing or otherwise "seeing" the Wii remote, hold the remote in one hand while hitting the end of the remote into your other. This should reset the motion sensor. You can also use the manual reset button, found behind the battery cover on the remote.
