Things You'll Need
Instructions
Remove the Wii from its packaging and decide where you want to set it up. A Wii can be placed upright or on its side.
Plug the console into a wall outlet. Plug the main AC cord into the output on the back of the Wii console.
Look at the three colored plugs at the other end of the AC cord. Match these to the colored AV outputs on your television set, and plug in. The red plug is for right audio output, the yellow plug is for video output and the white is for left audio output.
Switch on your television set and your Wii console. On your television remote, change the input to AUX, or auxiliary. Change the channel to match whatever channel you normally use to view movies. It is most likely channel 3. Your Wii menu should automatically be shown on this channel.
Remove the sensor bar from the box. Plug it into the output on the back of the Wii on the sensor connector. Place the sensor bar above the television, facing straight out so that the mirrored back surface is facing you and where you will be controlling the games.
Insert two AA batteries into your Wii remote. To sync your Wii remote to your Wii console, simple press the A and B buttons at the same time. A blue light will appear on the bottom of your Wii remote under the number 1.
Insert a game, and you are ready to play!
