Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place the Wii close enough to the TV for all of the cables to reach their ports. If your Wii came with a stand, you have the option of placing the Wii vertically instead of setting it down horizontally. Attach the stand's plate to the stand's underside by sliding the notches into place until it clicks. Place the Wii firmly inside the stand. If your Wii did not come with a stand or you prefer to set it up horizontally, set the Wii with the rubber pads on the bottom of the console.
Plug your AV cable, component cable or S-Video cable into the Wii console. All three connection types plug into the same port on the back, the only port the plug fits into on the console. Connect the audio and video plugs to your TV in their appropriate ports. TV manufacturers typically label these ports and color-code them to match the color of the cords you're plugging in. Plug the cables into the ports labeled "IN" or "Input," not "OUT" or "Output."
Plug the Wii's AC adapter into the back of the console, and then plug the other end into a wall outlet. Plug the censor bar into the back of the console and place it either on top of or at the base of your TV, centering it in relation to the middle of the screen. Connect the optional sensor bar stand if you prefer.
