Instructions

    • 1

Play the dating sim if you've got it. While this doesn't help you perform surgery at all, it will help you cultivate an appreciation for the style the Trauma Center games are made in. This is optional, but, like the Trauma Center games themselves, can be highly entertaining.

Listen to the characters. It's easy to want to skip through dialog, but resist the urge, especially when you're in the middle of an operation. The characters have a habit of spouting important dialog in the middle of a procedure, and if you're skipping through dialog, you may miss it.

    • 3

Learn what each tool is used for. The tutorial operations will teach you this, but just remember that each tool has a use. Beware that using certain tools at the wrong time can have disastrous consequences! Also be aware that some tools can only be used for a limited time before they run out and need a few seconds to recharge. The Antibiotic Gel and laser tool are prime examples.

    • 4

Always use the Antibiotic Gel on an area BEFORE you make an incision with the scalpel! While your patient won't get an infection, you will get a lower score.

    • 5

Try to work as quickly as possible. Most procedures you perform (making incisions, suturing wounds, placing bandages) are graded. Accuracy and time taken are the prime factors, so if you do something well and do it quickly, you'll get a better score.

Pump your patient full of medication whenever you can. See the green bottle that comes up when you select the syringe? That stabilizes your patient's vitals and keeps them healthier longer. Always be sure to crank them full of the stuff BEFORE you apply the final bandage to end the operation. Doing so will give you a better score.
