Take some time to figure out your bowling trends. Each person has different speeds and spin that they put on the ball naturally, so before you start trying to tweak your technique make sure you know how you perform naturally.
Adjust your spin. Many Wii bowlers complain about a leftward spin on their balls for right handed bowlers and right spin for lefties. It is not a glitch; it is just really difficult to put no spin on the ball. Try to get where you can make your spin consistent every time you bowl.
Find your sweet spot on the lane. The positioning on the lane is the other major factor with spin. If you have pretty gradual spin, try moving a few clicks over. If you are consistent with a lot of spin you will need to be near the gutter.
Throw slower when you are trying to pick up a spare where there is one pin behind another. If you throw too fast your ball will bounce off of the front pin leaving the back one standing.
Utilize the rotational aim function. If you press "A," you can rotate your aim instead of moving your bowler left or right. This may be the little tweak you need to find your rhythm. You can also press up on the directional pad to zoom in your view.
Practice on the training modes for bowling. The "picking up spares" mode will help you learn how to pick up pins at different positions. The "spin control" mode will help you utilize your spin. The power throws may not improve your game a lot but it is the most fun of the training modes.
Use the following routine when you bowl: move your bowler two clicks to the right, hold the Wii controller by your side and bring it up quickly releasing the button as late as possible. This will give you a straight shot that has a good chance at a strike, but may leave you with a nasty split.
