How to Create a Mii on Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii brings the action of video games outside of the box into your living room. So, put yourself back in the box with a Mii. A Mii is a personalized Nintendo Wii character that you can make look like yourself, like a friend or just like a fun guy. It only takes about 10 minutes and you can use your new Mii to play games.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose the "Mii Channel" option from the main Wii menu. Then, click on "Start" to go into the "Mii Plaza."

    • 2

Click on the "New Mii" icon at the left of the screen. Choose a gender for your Mii and you are ready to create a new Mii from scratch. Once you have created at least one Mii, you will also have the option to create a Mii from a look-alike instead of starting from scratch.

    • 3

Start editing the new Mii you have created. You will be given a basic starter face to get you started, but you can edit this as much as you like. Displayed at the top of the screen are the various aspects of your Mii you can edit.

    • 4

Edit your Mii's profile by clicking on the icon farthest to the left of the row at the top. You can enter the Mii's name, birthday, change its gender, give it a favorite color and label who created it. Choose the favorite option to give the Mii a special color of pants to identify this Mii as one of your favorite characters.

    • 5

Change other features such as head shape, hair, eyebrows and glasses by clicking on the other icons at the top. When you click on an icon, a display of choices will appear in the middle box on the screen. When you have chosen an option, you can edit the size, angle, spacing and sometimes color of the feature you have chosen with the boxes on the right side of the screen.

    • 6

Hit "Quit" when you are done editing your Mii. You will be asked if you would like to save your Mii at this point. Save your Mii for use the next time you play.
