• By and large, user-made "Neopets" programs, although not sanctioned by the game's creators, allow you to cheat at the game. Such is the case with auto buyers -- programs that purchase "Neopets" items from the game's virtual shops without requiring you to actually visit the shops or choose items on your own, eliminating mundane day-to-day shopping tasks. For more experienced players, a program known simply as "Auto Buyer" features advanced options such as custom restock lists and a detailed shopping log.

Auto Players

• Auto players automatically play the various games of "Neopets" whenever your virtual pet is unoccupied and bored; as is the case when playing manually, game wins result in valuable Neopoints. Each auto-player program focuses on a specific game, such as "Dice-a-Roo Auto Player," "Kacheek Seek Auto Player," "Pyramids Auto Player" and "Cliffhanger Auto Player." Some auto players impose limits on the amount of Neopoints won each day, typically between 1,500 and 5,000 NP. Rather than cheating, the "ShapeShuffle" program serves as a puzzle calculator to help you solve "Neopets" Shapeshifter puzzles.

Questers

• Like auto buyers and players, questers automatically complete "Neopets" quests, which yield helpful in-game items. "Questers," in similar fashion to auto players, typically cater to quests in specific areas of Neopia. For instance, "Kitchen Quester" automatically completes the kitchen quests found on Mystery Island, which tasks you with helping the Underwater Chef find ingredients for his latest concoctions.

Other Programs

• The "Neopets Everything Doer" program, also a user-made application, allows you to create a daily checklist and automatically performs routine actions such as doing word scrambles and clicking on sponsor links to gain Neopoints. "Advanced Money Tree Auto Grabber" searches for your choice of Neopoints or items, letting you pick from a built-in list, while you perform other actions in Neopia. "Shape Shifter Autoplayer" also automatically collects Neopoints and, by occasionally failing on purpose, avoids detection by the Neopetstream, which identifies cheaters.

Considerations

• Creators offer user-made "Neopets" programs and scripts -- which interact with your "Neopets" account when you enter your account information -- for free download from community forums such as Hidden Below, DarkZtar and Neocodex. According to the company's terms of service agreement, "Neopets" doesn't allow cheating of any sort, and cheaters who get caught may have their account suspended.
