Help for the Travian Bot on Mozilla Firefox

In the browser-based strategy game of "Travian," you oversee a Roman, Gual or Teuton tribe as you take on the enemy forces of the Natars. Victory requires careful resource management, success in battle and interaction with other players online. Although you can play fair, the highly-customizable Travian Bot for Mozilla's Firefox browser automatically builds buildings, distributes troops and resources, and trains your soldiers for you while you're away from the computer or occupied with other tasks.
  1. Installation and Setup

    • Upon downloading the Travian Bot, a software installation window appears; when the install completes, it's time to restart Firefox. Accessing the Bot's Preferences menu under Tools lets you input the server on which you play "Travian." You must copy the server address -- the Web address starting with ̶0;http://̶1; from Firefox -- and enter it into the ̶0;Domain̶1; field in the Travian Bot. At the top of the screen, you'll enter the name of the nation tied to your account and the names of the villages to which you'd like to apply the Bot. From the Tools menu, you can also enable or disable custom sound and MSN notifications for incoming attacks.

    General Use

    • You control the Bot via the header, which is the upper part of the user interface. Clicking the ̶0;Start/Stop̶1; button turns the Bot on and off; the latter command allows you to resort to manual control without the program interfering. Under the header, a series of tabs indicates the values of automated tasks such as building, troop training and troop sending. You can click the ̶0;Add a new row̶1; button to create additional tasks or ̶0;Remove the selected rows̶1; to delete tasks. Double-clicking on any task will modify its individual value.

    Advanced Use

    • The Building Rules tab allows you to customize the minutiae of the automated building processes. From here, you can assign numeric priority levels from 1 to 50 to define the order in which buildings are constructed. Similarly, the Resource Sending tab allows you to customize specific amounts of resources -- such as wood, iron, clay and wheat -- and where they will go, as defined by a numeric value typed in the entry field.

    Compatibility

    • As a Firefox extension, the Travian Bot only works with the Firefox browser. Both the browser and the extension are free downloads, available at Mozilla's official website and free software websites such as Sourceforge and Softpedia. As of February 2012, this program only supports Firefox versions 3.0 to 3.5. The cross-platform Travian Bot works with Firefox on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating platforms.
