Neopets is an online virtual game that allows you to interact with other players, play games and put items up for auction. When you first start playing, you should create a bank account to store your Neopoints. Otherwise, you may find yourself the victim of theft. Neopets can lose and gain Neopoints in various ways. When you receive Neopoints, they will automatically accrue and you will carry them around with you until you deposit them in the bank. Depositing the Neopoints in the bank has the added advantage of earning interest at the beginning of each day.

Participating in Neopets Auctions

  Visit the "Auction House" by clicking on the "Shops" link in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Select the "Auction House" to begin selling.

  Decide on an item you would like to put up for auction. You can enter anything into an auction, but remember that if your item sells you may lose money on it if not enough people bid.

  Open your "Inventory" and click on the item you would like to auction. When a dialog box appears, select "Put Up For Auction" from the drop-down menu.

  Choose the starting value for the auction and the minimum increment required to increase the bid. You can choose an increment as low as 50 Neopoints. When you are done, confirm your selections and submit them to begin selling.

  Sign in to your Neopets account by entering your username and password at the main website.

  Check to see if the auction has processed by visiting the auction processing link. Sometimes, it will take up to several hours for an auction to process after it ends.

  Wait for the auction to finish processing. Your Neopet points will then be deposited automatically.
