Level Quickly in ̶0;Dark Age of Camelot̶1;
Because the game was released in 2001, the established player base has already leveled to what is known as the ̶0;level cap,̶1; which is level 50. While new players do join the game, this does not provide a strong population through the lower level content and creates a lack of other players to group up with. Also, the main focus of the end game content is the Realm vs. Realm system, where players battle against other players to gain control over areas in the game. This requires a developed character at level 50, which encourages players to level quickly to get to this part of the game.
Power Leveling
One way to earn fast and easy levels in ̶0;Dark Age of Camelot̶1; is to join a guild of other high-level players on your server. Often, these players are experienced at playing the game and know the content well. Guild members help players with lower leveled characters complete quests quickly and defeat difficult enemies, earning quick experience. This is known as ̶0;power leveling̶1; your character through the help of guild members or other players.
Enhanced Leveling
One built-in bonus for all characters playing ̶0;Dark Age of Camelot̶1; is the enhanced leveling system. This system rewards players who play consistently and who play on low population servers. You must gain at least one level within a week̵7;s time to be eligible for the enhanced leveling bonus. This bonus grants you a free level at least once a week. Low population servers can grant a free level as often as every two days. You can type ̶0;/freelevel̶1; in your chat box to see the status of your enhanced leveling gain.
The /level System
If you already have a character that has reached the max level, your new characters are eligible to use the /level command. When you make a new character, you can type ̶0;/level̶1; in your text box to automatically advance that character to level 20. If you play on a server that is flagged as under populated, when you use the /level command, it will advance your character to level 30 instead. This encourages more players to come to the lower population servers and helps give these players a chance to catch up with higher level characters. Characters that you advance with the /level command also receive free weapons and armor from specific NPCs in the main city of each realm.
