The Pirate Ship Frame
To start building your pirate ship, you will need to stock up on 40 energy points. The Hammer Hull stage, the Rig Rigging stage, the Batten Hatches stage and the Scrub Decks stage of building each take 10 energy points total. You can complete half of each stage one at a time for five energy points if you do not have enough energy to complete the pirate ship frame all at once.
Finish the Pirate Ship
If you complete the pirate ship frame, you may wonder what you can do with your pirate ship if it won't go anywhere. What you have missed is finishing the pirate ship. The ship will not leave your island until you complete it. Gather five cans of paint, five sail cloths, five nautical ropes, five planks and five ship nails and you can complete the pirate ship. Either trade with friends for the items or spend up to 22 Island Cash dollars to buy all of the parts you will need.
Using the Boat
Your completed pirate ship will just sit in your harbor unless you know how to use it. Make sure the boat is in your harbor. If another boat is instead in the harbor, swap it with the pirate ship from your boat inventory. Click on the pirate ship and you will see a world map appear.
Pirate Barricade
The purpose of the pirate ships is to get exclusive access to the seven Pirate Barricade islands: Reginald's Armory, Pirate Vanguard, Construction Isle, Stinkeye's Shanty, Lazy Larder, Greenbeard's Field and Deadman Pass. You cannot reach these islands with any other type of ship. To get to a Pirate Barricade island, click on the boat and then click on the island of your choice.
