How to Level Shadow Resistance on MapleStory

"MapleStory" is a massively multiplayer online game in which you choose a character in a character class to use as your representative throughout the game. One of the primary objectives in "MapleStory" is making your character stronger, called ̶0;leveling up.̶1; When you are awarded a new job title in "MapleStory," you are given points that you can use to strengthen particular attributes. Shadow Resistance, a defensive ability, is an attribute that you can level up fairly early in the game. Shadow Resistance gives the player abnormal status resistance, elemental resistance and extra Hit Points (HP). The higher the Shadow Resistance the more defensive abilities you have.

Instructions

  Visit Sulhee, the job counselor, in Kerning City when you reach level 10 in the game. You are eligible to choose a character class at this point, and you may select any class you wish. Your character will now be able to achieve new job titles as you advance within your class and level Shadow Resistance as you do so.

  Complete your particular character advancement quests, which will be given to you at regular intervals. For example, some character classes will be given a quest upon reaching level 20, but different character classes get quests at different levels. Once this quest is successfully completed, your character receives a new job title and some points to spend towards character-ability strengthening.

  Allot points toward Shadow Resistance until you have spent the maximum allowable points on this ability. Each time you job advance, you will be allowed to spend your points as you please up to the current maximum. When you job-advance again, the maximum will rise, allowing you to allot further points towards the Shadow Resistance ability.

  Repeat the point allotment toward Shadow Resistance with each new job advancement. At a certain point ̵1; typically, when your character reaches a level somewhere between 30 and 55 ̵1; you will be able to "max out" the Shadow Resistance ability, meaning that it cannot become any stronger and no further leveling up is possible.
