How to Make a Plank at the Sawmill

The Sawmill in ̶0;RuneScape̶1; offers free training to woodcutters of level 80 and above. Woodcutters can make planks from freely available logs at the Sawmill and cut them into different shapes. Your character gains woodcutting experience from cutting the planks, although you can̵7;t keep the planks and take them out of the Sawmill. While your character gains experience from cutting each plank, you̵7;ll receive a greater amount of experience for completing a job that requires multiple planks.

Instructions

  Level up your woodcutting skill to level 80 or higher by cutting down trees with a hatchet. Characters with a lower woodcutting skill can̵7;t enter the Sawmill.

  Travel to the Lumber Yard near Varrock and enter the Sawmill near the southeast corner of the Lumber Yard.

  Pick up a saw from the first room in the Sawmill if you don̵7;t already have one in your inventory.

  Examine the noticeboard in the Sawmill and accept a job by clicking the ̶0;Accept̶1; button. The noticeboard offers both small jobs and larger jobs. Larger jobs take longer to complete but provide more woodcutting experience.

  Go to the northwest corner of the Sawmill and fill your inventory with logs. The logs are free, but you can̵7;t take them with you when you leave the Sawmill.

  Take the logs to the conveyor belt to the east and load them onto the hopper. The logs travel along the conveyor belt and are cut into planks by the spinning blade.

  Go to the end of the conveyor belt and fill your inventory with the planks.

  Find a workbench at the south side of the Sawmill and click on it.

  Use the screen that appears to cut the planks for your job. You can identify the planks you need to cut by examining the table at the top left corner of your screen.

  Go to the overseer after cutting enough planks, right-click her and click ̶0;Finish Job.̶1;
