How to Get a High KB on IMVU

When playing the IMVU online chat game, you may receive a message that indicates that you are using high KB, or high kilobytes. This message appears when you enter a chat room using an avatar that is sporting a large quantity of clothes and accessories. When your IMVU avatar uses high KB, it takes longer for your character to load on other players' screens.

Instructions

  Open your Web browser and navigate to www.imvu.com/earn/credits.php.

  Log in with your IMVU username and password at the prompt. Once you are logged in, the IMVU credits website loads. This website lists ways that you can earn credits in the IMVU game, including completion of partner offers, watching advertisements, installing the IMVU toolbar or completing surveys.

  Click the "View Current Offers" button next to the offer that you wish to complete. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the offer and earn IMVU credits.

  Run the IMVU application and log in with your username and password.

  Click the "Shop" button to purchase custom clothes and accessories for your avatar.

  Click the "Categories" button to choose the category of item that you wish to purchase.

  Click the item that you want to buy, then click "Buy" to buy the item.

  Click "Home" and then click the "Dress Up" button.

  Click the item that you bought in the inventory list at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Add" button to add it to your character.

  Click "Home" and then click a "Chat Room" button to enter an IMVU chat room. If you have added enough custom items to your avatar, then you will receive a "High KB" message.
