How Do You Get Past the Bird on Poptropica?

An angry seagull has made its nest in the bell tower of the elementary school on Big Nate Island in "Poptropica," an online kids' adventure game. One of your tasks on the island is replacing the school bell's lost clapper and restoring it to working order, but the bird prevents you from getting close to it. To scare the bird away, you need to find a way to change the direction of the light beam from a lighthouse, and this involves embarking on an underwater adventure.

Instructions

- 1
  Run to the right to Puffin Point. Climb to the top of the lighthouse. Jump off the left side of the building and catch the old photograph that's blown around by the wind.

  Return to the left and enter the Say Cheese photography shop. Speak to the store owner. Swap your old picture for the owner's scuba gear.

  Return to Puffin Point. Open your Items box, point at the scuba gear and click "Put On."

  Jump off the dock into the oyster bed and click "Dive." Swim down and retrieve the lobster trap with the broken rope before your oxygen runs out.

  Speak to Cap'n Salty on the dock. Give him the lobster trap, and he will give you a lobster.

  Climb to the top of the lighthouse. Open your Items box and click "Use" on the lobster to adjust the beam of the lighthouse light, which frightens away the bird on the bell tower.
