Pass a Level Automatically

• The primary purpose of the Mighty Eagle is to allow players to complete levels that they are stuck on and are unable to pass. The Mighty Eagle allows for automatic completion of the level and will thus allow players to advance to the next level in the episode they are playing at that time.

Using the Sardine Can

• When the Mighty Eagle is selected, a can of sardines is placed in the slingshot. The player can then launch the sardine can in the same way that the birds are normally launched, ideally aiming for the area where the most pigs appear to maximize the destruction. After the sardine can is launched, the Mighty Eagle will appear from above and will destroy the enemies. The level will end at this point. An icon of the Mighty Eagle will appear next to the episode and level number (for example, 14-9 will have a small Mighty Eagle icon next to it) to show it was used to pass that level.

Destruction Percentage

• When the sardine can is launched, it will do a certain amount of damage to the enemies depending upon how well it was aimed, whether there was any collateral damage and simple luck in some cases. After the Mighty Eagle arrives and destroys all enemies, a "Destruction Percentage" is calculated. This percentage reflects how much damage the sardine can did. Players who achieve 100 percent destruction on the destruction meter will be awarded with an eagle feather. It is possible to earn an eagle feather in every level of the game, but this may take some time due to the frequency of use restrictions on the Mighty Eagle.

Frequency of Use Restrictions

• The Mighty Eagle can be used only one time per hour. Once a player touches the "Eagle Eye" icon across from the pause button during gameplay, the Mighty Eagle is activated. The player must then launch the sardine can and the level will end. From the time that the level ends, one hour must pass before it may be used again. When the Mighty Eagle is available for use again the icon will re-appear next to the pause button during gameplay. However, if a level has already been completed without the use of the Mighty Eagle, the eagle may then be used as frequently as desired.

Combination Usage For Extra Damage

• The Mighty Eagle can be used in conjunction with other birds. The sardine can be launched together with other birds to increase the odds of doing major damage. Using the Mighty Eagle sardine can and the other birds together can greatly increase the chances of earning the eagle feather for 100 percent destruction in a given level.
