Clan Ranks
As players in a clan play the game and earn experience, the clan itself earns experience as well. When a clan levels up it increases its clan rank. There are a total of six clan ranks, each based on an actual grouping of soldiers in the Army. Rank one clans are known as "Squads," rank two clans are known as "Platoons," rank three clans are known as "Companies," rank four clans are known as "Battalions," rank five clans are known as "Regiments" and rank six clans are known as "Divisions."
Clan Size Limitations
The number of members who can join a clan is restricted by the clan's level. Squads can have a total of 20 members, Platoons can have 30 members, Companies can have 50 members, Battalions can have 70 members, Regiments can have 90 members and Divisions can have 120 members. A clan that has the maximum number of members for its level cannot add any new members until it levels up and achieves its next rank.
Clan Items
Certain items in the game are only available to clans. Some of these items, such as the "Clan Name Change," "Clan Name Color Change" and "Clan Emblem" items, affect the clan itself and are available to clans regardless of rank. Other items which are equip-able by players can only be purchased if a player's clan meets or exceeds the item's level requirements. Examples include the "Clan Cap" which requires a level two clan, the "Clan Backpack" which requires a level three clan and the "P99" which requires a level four clan.
Joining and Creating Clans
A minimum player rank is required to create or join a clan. Players are eligible to join a clan once their character levels once and reaches the rank of "Recruit." Players cannot create a clan of their own until they have leveled six times and reached the rank of "Staff Sergeant I." The creator of a clan receives the rank of "Leader" within the clan and can add and remove members. A clan creator can also appoint "Admins" from the members of the clan, giving them limited administrative powers over the clan's membership.
