Can You Delete Your Web Earth Online Account?

Web Earth Online, an online multiplayer video game, puts you in the role of animals as they exist in the natural environment. Just as Web Earth Online's players see their virtual creatures through from birth to death, you have the ability to create and delete your own WEO account. Though you can easily delete the digital animals that serve as your WEO avatar, the process for deleting your main account is a little more opaque.

About Web Earth Online
- In Web Earth Online, developed by TSD Inc., you begin with a small selection of animals to play as, eventually gaining more points and more powerful and complex animal options. The game rewards players with points when they fight, raise offspring and stay alive. The game allows players to hunt, mate, rear young, eat, drink, explore and even create nests or other dwellings. WEO offers more than a dozen animal species, including birds, rodents, snakes and mammals large and small.
Account Creation
- You have to have a Web Earth Online Account before you can delete one. To create an account, visit the ̶0;My Account̶1; page at Web Earth Online's official website. Select ̶0;Edit Personal Account Settings,̶1; ̶0;Click here to try Login or Sign Up̶1; and then ̶0;I'm a new User, register here.̶1; Enter your email address, password, password verification and screen name in the required fields. On the next screen, enter the additional requested information -- your address and phone number are required -- and click ̶0;Submit̶1; to create your account. You can now log in with your email address and password.
Deleting Your Account
- To delete your current in-game animal, click the ̶0;My Account̶1; button and then select ̶0;Edit Player Game Options.̶1; From there, select the box that next to the phrase ̶0;Request that your current animal be destroyed (Your animal is now dead)̶1; and hit the ̶0;Submit̶1; button. There are no options for immediately deleting your user account on Web Earth Online's website. To do so, you must email an account removal request -- including your email address, screen name and password in the body of the email ̵1; to the game's administrator at [email protected]. You will have to wait for an email response confirming the deletion of your account.
Considerations
- Creating a basic account on Web Earth Online is completely free. However, TSD offers advanced game features for a fee. Deletion of your account may affect your ability to access these features after purchase. You can also simply log out of your account rather than delete it by clicking the ̶0;Logoff̶1; button on WEO's homepage. If you've forgotten your password, select ̶0;Help,̶1; ̶0;Account Assistance̶1; and ̶0;Request password.̶1; Enter your email address in the blank field and click the ̶0;Submit̶1; button to receive an email message containing your password.
