What Do You Use the Block of Ice for in MapleStory?

"MapleStory" is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that consists of thousands of monsters, characters and items. In fact, the sheer size of the game means that sometimes players may end up obtaining an item for which they may have no use, or an item whose purpose is uncertain. The ice block is a non-essential item in "MapleStory," though you can still find some uses for it.
  1. Selling Ice Blocks

    • Ice blocks are usable for only one purpose in "MapleStory": quick conversion into mesos, the in-game currency. The Ice Blocks sell for 75 mesos in the Free Market in the game, but may be slightly more or less valuable than that when used as part of a trade with other players. Because the Ice Block item is not actually used in any quests and does not grant any powers, the value remains fairly static, so demand -- and therefore the price -- is unlikely to fluctuate.

    Collecting Ice Blocks

    • Players receive an Ice Block after successful completion of the Arwen's Glass Shoe quest, which is available at level 25 and can be completed anytime thereafter. This quest may be repeated, which means that a player may collect an unlimited amount of Ice Blocks. The only limit regarding Ice Blocks is the same limit that applies to all items: a maximum of 200 identical items per slot.

    Origins of Ice Blocks

    • Ice Blocks are pieces of an Ice Golem, a "MapleStory" monster that players encounter after they have reached level 55 or higher. The Ice Blocks taken from the Ice Golem monster do not appear to impair its ability to fight in any way, as it is a strong adversary.

    Ice Golem Statistics

    • The Ice Golem is a level 60 monster that has 6,900 Hit Points, or HPs. The monster has an energy recovery rate, or MP, of 120, meaning that it gets 120 HP every 10 seconds after it has been injured. The Ice Golem is a slow but deadly foe, with a speed of -50, an accuracy rating of 150 and an avoidance rating of 24. The Ice Golem is evenly balanced in terms of offense and defense, with a weapon attack rating of 200 and a weapon defense rating of 200. The Golem is skilled at repelling magical attacks and has a magical defense rating of 210.
