Registering an Account
You can choose to play Howrse on an international server, or choose from four regional servers (United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada). You begin playing Howrse by selecting either a horse or pony, then choosing the breed and color you want. Once you have selected a username and password, you can begin playing immediately.
Howrse Community
Howrse allows registered users to interact with each other via the community forums. There are three sections: events (for news and updates on the game); game play (for exchanging tips and asking questions about how to play Howrse); and a classifieds section where players can offer or request items for trade or sale. Only registered users who are currently logged into Howrse can access or post to the forums. Non-users can't read your posts; however, all other players can read what you have written.
Private Messages
If want to tell another player something without other Howrse users reading what you've written, you can send him a private message rather than posting on the general forums. Private messages, also called PMs, can typically only be read by the sender and the recipient. It may be necessary for moderators or game staff to access private messages in the event of a dispute.
Rules for Private Messages
When you use the forums and private messaging system on Howrse, you must abide by the game's rules. You can't send abusive, harassing or illegal messages to other players. If you do so, you may lose your account and be banned from the game in future. Illegal activity may be reported to law enforcement.
