What Are the Mabinogi Actions?

Mabinogi, an online game for personal computers that the game creators at Nexon dub a ̶0;free fantasy life,̶1; puts players in the midst of a virtual realm filled with cartoon-like graphics, plentiful battles and user-made musical compositions. This massively multiplayer online role-playing game, or MMORPG, allows gamers to perform actions as diverse as fighting monsters, cooking, crafting items and even taking on part time jobs.

Basic Actions
- Mouse controls allow players to perform the most basic actions of Mabinogi. Left-clicking the mouse navigates characters, attacks enemies and picks up items. Holding the right mouse button and moving the mouse rotates the game's camera and the mouse wheel zooms it in our out, giving players a better look at the three-dimensional environment. Right-clicking while the cursor is over a person or item brings up a menu of other possible actions, which can be selected with a left click.
Hot Keys
- Hot keys allow Mabinogi players to instantly perform a wide variety of secondary actions in the game world. ̶0;Tab̶1; toggles between the player's main or auxiliary weapon while ̶0;Ctrl̶1; locks on to enemies. Letter keys open various menus, such as ̶0;S̶1; for the skills menu, ̶0;C̶1; for the character status menu, ̶0;I̶1; for the inventory window and ̶0;M̶1; for the mini-map. The space bar toggles between combat and regular action modes while ̶0;Enter̶1; opens the game's chat window. The ̶0;1̶1; through ̶0;9̶1; keys perform different skills, depending on which skills the player has learned and which key she has assigned them to.
Battle Actions
- Battle is one of the primary actions in Mabinogi. Holding down the ̶0;Ctrl̶1; key allows players to automatically target enemies. Once an enemy is targeted, gamers can left-click the mouse, focusing their attacks on that particular foe. Pressing the arrow keys switches between targets. To perform the attack action automatically, players can simply hold down the left mouse button, which causes in-game characters to attack enemies until they are defeated.
Other Actions
- In the world of Mabinogi, players can also equip helmets and robes with the ̶0;E̶1; key and divide or use items with a combination of ̶0;Shift,̶1; ̶0;Ctrl̶1; and the right or left mouse button. In battle, players can perform actions as diverse as faking their own deaths, throwing rocks or turning invisible, depending on the skills they have learned. These actions may gain the player experience points or use stamina to perform.
