How to Get the Monster Expert Medal After the Big Bang

"MapleStory" is a free MMO role-playing game. As you quest through the game, you earn medals that help improve your skills and abilities. Big Bang, an expansion released in early 2011, brought new monsters and areas to explore, but did not affect the ability to earn the Monster Expert Medal. Once you reach level 10, you are ready to accept the quest that will reward you with the medal.

Instructions

  Speak to Dalair and accept the Monster Quest Challenge quest. Dalair is in each of the major towns and can be identified by his tall white hat and white robes. The quest requires you to collect 30 different monster cards. When you defeat a monster, you collect loot from the dead monster, including monster cards. Each type of monster has its own monster card.

  Continue with the quests you were working on before talking to Dalair. Accepting quests will take you to new areas and new monsters to kill. If you ignore your quests and pursue collecting monster cards, you will be wasting a lot of time. Many of the quests will end up having you kill the same monsters you killed to collect the cards. It is a matter of time before you collect the needed monster cards as you quest.

  Return to any town and locate Dalair once you have collected 30 different monster cards. Turn in the Monster Quest Challenge to receive the Monster Expert medal.
