How to Run 'Mabinogi' on a Mac

The free-to-download, free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game "Mabinogi" runs on Windows operating systems. This leaves Mac owners unable to download a Mac version to play. However, you can play "Mabinogi" on your Mac if you follow the recommendations of Nexon Games, the developers, and run Boot Camp on your Mac. Boot Camp effectively switches your Mac operating system to a Windows operating system and allow you to play the game. You then have the option to switch back to the Mac OS X every time you reboot your computer.

  Update your Mac computer. Most updates are automatic. However, load your Mac with the latest firmware and operating system so that it can run Boot Camp.

  Type "Boot Camp" into the Mac spotlight search option. Click "Boot Camp Assistant."

  Click "Continue" through the Boot Camp program. Stretch the Windows Box to the right of the Mac OS X box to determine how many gigabytes on your hard drive you want to devote to the Windows system: It requires at least 10GB. Click the "Partition" button.

  Insert the Windows full-install disc into your Mac. If you're installing Windows XP, the install disc must come with Service Pack 2 or later. Click "Start Installation" to begin installation of the Windows OS.

  Follow the on-screen directions to install "Windows." Click "Accept" and "Continue" as necessary.

  Reboot your computer and remove the install disc. Select "Windows" when your Mac prompts you to choose between the Windows and the Mac OS X.

  Download the "Mabinogi" installer. Follow the on-screen directions to install "Mabinogi." You can play the game immediately after the install completes.
